Clearing Our Calendar—Because This Mission Can’t Wait
I'm clearing my calendar. Effective immediately.Something transformative is in motion—and it needs my full focus.
Our second location of The Store is under construction. And we’re almost there.
This new site will be three times the size, designed to double the number of families we serve, and set to open January 2026.
That date matters. Because families in our community have already waited long enough.
Thanks to an incredible wave of generosity, we’ve raised $3.2 million so far.
That’s $3.2 million powered by people who believe, like we do, that access to healthy food should never come with shame or barriers.
Now we’re working to raise the final $1.8 million—to finish construction, equip the space, and fund the first two years of operations so we can open on time. But this isn’t just a building.
It’s a promise.
That when a family asks for help, we can say yes.
That when a child opens the fridge, there’s fresh food inside.
That we can build a national model for food access—rooted in dignity, designed for choice, and built to last.
So I’ve cleared my calendar. Because I want to give this everything I’ve got.
And because I know we’ll get there—but not alone.
If you know someone who should be part of this work—A leader who cares about smart, local solutions to hunger.
A company looking for meaningful community partnership.
A family ready to give in a way that lasts.
I’d love to connect.
I’ll meet with anyone to walk through the plans, show the renderings, and share the stories of the 2,000 families still waiting.
And if all you do is pass this along to one person who might care—that would mean the world.
Let’s open these doors—together.
Who should I be talking to?
With construction underway on The Store’s second location and a $1.8 million goal still ahead, there’s no time to spare. This post is a personal call to action—from clearing calendars to opening doors for 2,000 families still waiting. Learn why this moment matters, and how you can help bring it to life.

“It Was Hope”: Ms. Kim’s Story Reminds Us What This Expansion Is Really About
At the ribbon cutting for The Store’s second location, it wasn’t a CEO or a founder who delivered the most powerful message—it was Ms. Kim, a grandmother, customer, and volunteer whose story left the crowd cheering and in tears. In this blog post, we reflect on her honest, moving testimony about the emotional weight of food insecurity and the relief she found in dignity, choice, and community. Her words grounded the moment and reminded us: this expansion isn’t just about square footage—it’s about doing more, sooner, for families who deserve more than survival. They deserve support wrapped in compassion—and a future filled with hope.
