Generousity Starts Here — Let’s Connect
“I love connecting with people who care about The Store and want to be part of what’s ahead.
There are so many ways to make a difference, and I’d be happy to answer your questions, hear what you’re considering, and help you find a giving opportunity that’s meaningful to you.”

Whether you’re considering a leadership gift, a long-term investment in our mission, DAF or foundation giving, or another meaningful way to support The Store, Collen would welcome the opportunity to connect with you personally. Your generosity helps The Store welcome more neighbors with dignity and choice, provide access to fresh, nutritious food, and connect families with support that can create greater stability for the future.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Store a qualified charitable organization?
Yes. The Store is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions. Our Tax ID, or EIN, is 81-4247568.
Can I make a Qualified Charitable Distribution?
Individuals age 70½ or older may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from an IRA to The Store. A QCD may count toward your Required Minimum Distribution, when applicable, and the transferred amount is generally excluded from taxable income. Please ask your IRA administrator to make the distribution payable directly to The Store and consult your tax or financial advisor about your eligibility.
Does The Store accept gifts of stock?
Yes. The Store accepts gifts of appreciated stock and other securities. For transfer instructions, please contact Brittney Brown at 615-887-1978 or brittney@thestore.org.
Can I designate my gift?
Undesignated gifts give The Store the greatest flexibility to respond where the need is most urgent and make the strongest possible impact for our neighbors. We are also glad to discuss gifts intended for a particular purpose, program, or area of impact. Please contact Brittney Brown before making your gift so we can talk through your goals and confirm the best way to direct it.
Can you provide tax advice?
The Store can provide the organizational information and documentation needed to complete your gift, but we cannot offer legal, financial, or tax advice. Please consult your attorney, financial advisor, or tax professional to determine which giving option is right for you.
