About The Store
Co-founded by Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, The Store is a nonprofit reimagining what food assistance can look like—one rooted in dignity, choice, and love.
At its core, the idea is simple but powerful: create a welcoming, no-cost grocery store where neighbors can shop for healthy food and be treated with the respect they deserve. Every detail is designed to affirm that each person who walks through our doors is capable, valued, and worthy of dignity.
Since opening in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood, The Store has served thousands of Middle Tennessee neighbors—providing not only access to nutritious food, but connecting customers with the wrap-around services that help individuals and families build stability and move forward with confidence.

The Inspiration Behind The Store
The concept for The Store was sparked by a family value—service. Noticing that their children needed a broader perspective on the world, Kim expressed to Brad her desire for them to begin volunteering. “We’ve got to get them into service and get them out of their bubble, and help them understand that there are hungry people in the world,” Kim shared.
This realization led the Paisleys to volunteer with their children at Unity Shoppe, a free supermarket in California, laying the foundation for what would become The Store in Nashville.
